We are a dynamic mid-sized company and a globally recognized leader in clean fuel solutions for commercial vehicles and gas transportation. As part of the Hexagon Group, we develop and deliver advanced composite Type 4 high-pressure cylinders, natural gas and propane fuel systems, as well as storage and delivery systems that help reduce emissions and operating costs. For our location in Kassel, we are looking for a Finance Director. In this role, you will take responsibility for our end-to-end financial organization (HGB), lead and develop an experienced team of three, and make a difference both locally and internationally by combining strategic drive with hands-on execution. As part of the Hexagon Group, you'll be connected to a global network of innovation, sustainability, and advanced industrial solutions.

 

That's what you can expect

  • Disciplinary and professional leadership, motivation, and further development of the finance team
  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB) as well as management reporting, and group reporting under IFRS
  • Strategic and operational budget planning and local financial responsibility
  • Optimization and further development of finance systems, processes, and automation
  • Liquidity and cash flow management, including control of payment terms
  • Coordination with tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
  • Cross-departmental collaboration and KPI reporting

What you bring to the table

  • You hold a degree in business administration, finance or accounting and bring 5-8 years of professional experience - including proven success in leading teams
  • Backround in auditing, international work experience, and familiarity with group structures are especially beneficial
  • Solid understanding of HGB and familiarity with IFRS 
  • Proven experience in financial processes and driving digital transformation projects
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • You work in a structured and solution-focused manner, always keeping an eye on getting things done
  • Experience with payment transactions, transfer pricing, VAT, and audit processes is beneficial
